Remember what you learnt in lesson seven, now add the bass drum to the mix on all 4 quarter notes. Look back at lesson seven notes for revision if neccessary. Practise at different speeds, slow and fast, and only when you have mastered the chart at whatever speed you are working on.


If you are having difficulty with a particular section, slow it right down and practise it carefully until you can play it easily then try playing it with the whole chart and without a mistake. They might not sound that interesting to begin with, but later on you will discover some of these patterns can sound great when they are mixed and played on different drums such as the toms.
