Remember what you learnt in lesson six, now add the bass drum to the mix. Look back at lesson six notes for revision if neccessary. Practise at different speeds, slow and fast, only when you have mastered the chart at whatever speed you are working on.


Do your best to develop good timing and a good grip for now and there will be more soon about gripping drum sticks later. If you are watching the videos try to watch how the sticks are held. This really takes time to develop as there are many important factors, such as how the sticks rebound off the pad or the drum and where you hit the drum and so on.
